I'm a Monet. A chameleon.

I'm whatever I must be...

The flawless daughter, a skilled socialite, and the perfect prize to the man of my family's choosing.

Not that I'm complaining.
I knew before returning to my home town for my senior year what my future would hold.

The truth is, I'm all for a loveless life, one that takes little thought, less effort, and zero devotion.
It's exactly what I want.

Or it was...until I met them.

The ripple in the rich little haven that is Corona Del Mar, the 'poor punks' who don't belong...or so the trust fund crew claims.

They're everything I'm supposed to avoid, untamed and unapologetic, reckless and free.

Addicting in ways I can't explain.

I'm aware no good will come of our friendship, yet I can't bring myself to care.

These boys, they're ready to show me the world through their eyes.
The question is...do I let them?

Do I let him?

badly behaved

by meagan brandy

Meagan Brandy managed to take me on one of the wildest journey's with her brilliantly compelling storytelling that hooked me in right from beginning. Her written consumed every inch of my soul and left me utterly breathless as I devour all the words of this epic tale. Just when I thought this author couldn't surprise me anymore, she does a complete 180 that keeps me on my toes the entire time.

Jameson was a complex character who took on the role of the perfect daughter and socialite to please her mother, even if it was at the expense of her own happiness. My heart ached deeply for her and the emotional trauma she endure at the hands of her mother, the one person she should have been able to trust to have her best interest at heart. Truth be told, her mother was a B*TCH who selfishly only had HER own interests in mind, even if it meant forcing her daughter to marry a man of her own choosing. This woman was controlling and Jameson tried to play the role that her mother wanted her to play. With Jameson's freedom slowly slipping through her fingers, she starts to come out of her shell and becoming the person she wants to be, even if it means fighting against her mother's wishes. She definitely grows as a character throughout the course of this book, and I found a soft spot in my heart for her. She is such a strong and beautiful character that you can't help but feel for her.

Ransom, Arsen, and Barretta were a trio with a deep family-like bond who would go to the end of the earth for each other. These boys have the strongest connection that goes deep and honestly I don't think anything could ever separate this group. They have formed a close bond that will survive through any obstacles and together they were able to find solace in a chaotic world where they don't feel as if they belong.

When these boys (Ransom, Arsen, and Barretta) set their sights on Jameson, there is no stopping them and they will do whatever it takes to bring her into their group. My heart was completely consumed by their connection and I absolutely loved every moment that they shared. Together they formed a bond so deep that nothing was going to get in their way, even if it meant fighting for their happiness every second of the way. Oh and don't let me forget to mention the ANGST that filled the pages. Especially between Ransom and Jameson. I freaking adored their connection the most, hands down!

Meagan Brandy ALWAYS creates worlds that captivate her readers and develops characters that we can't help but fall in love with. She knows how to hit us right in the gut with both emotion and angst. She is truly a phenomenal storyteller and I know that every time I pick up one of her books, I will be left completely satisfied and let me just SCREAM from the rooftops that Badly Behaved was unlike anything you have read before. Her unique storytelling shows in her newest release and you will find yourself hooked by every aspect of this story!
