Diego Garcia.

Class bully.

Football star.

My boyfriend.

I fell hard and fast for the resident bad boy and he fell just as hard for me too. We were the perfect couple, until things turned sour.

Senior year and we’re both super busy. He has football. I have volleyball. Soon enough, I hear the rumors - Diego’s cheating on me. After everything we’ve been through, I’m devastated. Breaking up with him was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. He doesn’t love me. Besides, only a few more months of school, and then I’m going away to college. And Diego will be permanently out of my life.

Until I find out I’m pregnant. And now we’re forever tied together…

fighting for you

by monica murphy

The moment Monica Murphy announced that she was giving us Diego and Jocelyn's story, I have to admit that I was both super excited and so totally nervous because I honestly didn't know if she was going to be able to redeem Diego because damn did that boy sure mess sh*t up. However, truth be told I should have NEVER doubted her because she sure knows how to slay when it comes to redemption.

Diego Garcia and Jocelyn Douglas have a complicated relationship that will tug on all of your heartstrings and leave you utterly breathless as you devour all the twists and turns of their love story. These two both had some major growing up to do, but honestly Diego more so than Jocelyn. He definitely needed to step up and be the man that his child and Jocelyn both deserved. He might have had a horrible home life, but that did NOT give him an excuse to treat her the way he did. One misunderstand turned into something so much more because he didn't man up and just tell her the truth from the beginning. He chose to let it turn into a major problem and it almost ended thing between them forever. Luckily in the end he made things right between them and my soul loved every moment of it!

Fighting for You was a beautifully written second chance romance that will feel your heart full of happiness and have you falling completely in love with this couple. These two had me doubting that they would have a happily ever after, but of course Monica Murphy did NOT leave us hanging and we got the PERFECT ending to their insanely complicated journey!
