how to quit your crush

what aurora thought about the book...
How to Quit Your Crush was an adorably sweet young adult romance that had me swooning like a little school girl falling for her first crush! Mai and Anthony were an unlikely pair and even though she was convinced that he was the WRONG guy for her, I just knew that he was Mr. RIGHT and she would eventually realize that he might just happen to be her happily ever after. With every moment these two shared I found myself falling even more hopelessly in love with them. Every part of this story was beautifully heartwarming and I couldn't get enough as butterflies invaded my entire body.
Amy Fellner Dominy might happened to be a new author to me, but I am so freaking happy that I stumbled across this book and decided to give it a try! I love a good young adult romance and she definitely delivered one of my new favorites! I might have even bought myself a copy of her companion novel, Announcing Trouble (published prior to Mai and Anthony's story, but both stories can of course be enjoyed as standalones), which I am kind of excited to start reading hopefully soon...especially if there is a chance we might get to see a little bit more as to how their story first began.
If you are a fan of young adult romances, then you need to give this story a chance because you won't be able to resist Anthony's charm and you will surely fall in love with his and Mai's journey towards a happily ever after! Readers of ALL ages (young adult and up) will absolutely adore each and every tenderly sweet moment that the author brings your way!
Mai Senn knows Anthony Adams is no good for her - no matter how hard she might crush on him. She’s valedictorian; he’s a surf bum. She’s got plans, he’s got his art. Complete opposites in every way. Vinegar and baking soda, they once joked. A chemical reaction that bubbled.
Yeah, they bubbled. Maybe still do.
Good thing Anthony’s got the perfect plan: two weeks to prove just how not good they are together. Whoever can come up with the worst date—something the other will seriously hate, proving how incompatible they truly are—wins.
Like taking a snake-phobe to the Reptile House at the zoo (his idea).
Or a cooking class where they don’t even get to eat the food (her idea).
It’s all about the competition, and it’s meant to help them finally crush their crushes. But it wasn’t supposed to be so hot. Or so fun. And when Mai’s future becomes at stake, will she be able to do the right thing and quit Anthony forever?
GENRES: ya, contemporary romance
